Doing Business in Lithuania, Exclusive Meeting & Networking Event

AGIO Legal

In the Global Financial Times 2023 rating, Lithuania and its free economic zones Kaunas & Klaipeda received very high scores, as one of the most promising investment locations in Europe. In particular, the city and district of Kaunas achieved a high position in their annual investment attractiveness ranking, ‘European Cities and Regions of the Future 2023’. There is no doubt that the favourable tax and business-friendly climate offers great opportunities for foreign investors and entrepreneurs.

Agio was therefore particularly pleased to host an exclusive ‘Doing Business in Lithuania’ business event at Villa Raphaelle in Ekeren.

Ms Rita Kazragiene, who has been Lithuania’s ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg and Algeria since August 2018, and former deputy permanent representative of Lithuania to the UN (2014), was our guest of honour. She was also involved in Lithuania’s preparation and presidency of the EU Council (2013) and Lithuania’s election campaigns for the UN Security Council (elected in 2013) and presidency of the UN General Assembly. Ms Ingrida Vizbaraite, CEO of Brolis Timber, headquartered in Vilnius and with factories in Kaunas and Klaipeda, also attended via video link. Brolis Timber has specialised in producing eco-friendly wood products since 2009. It recently achieved an important milestone by opening Lithuania’s first certified Thermowood plant in Kaunas FEZ (December 2022). Mr Filip Goddevriendt, partner at Agio Legal, gave a presentation on tax benefits in Lithuania & free economic zones and opportunities for Belgian entrepreneurs and investors.
